Iconic WPC hybrid flooring is built on a wood plastic composite core that delivers good dimensional stability with smart looking visual décors, for interior use with a click profile for easy install. It is 100% waterproof in interior applications, and it is one of the better choices for renovating straight over existing ceramic tiles — telegraphing of grout lines is minimal.
Planks are 1520mm long and 7.5mm thick overall, which includes a 1.5mm acoustic underlay already attached. There are two widths: the Oak décors are a 228mm super-width board supplied 2.080 m² per carton over 6 planks at around 16kg, and the Australian Timber décors — Blackbutt and Spotted Gum — are a 180mm board supplied 2.189 m² per carton. Both use a patented click profile with micro-bevelled V4 edges and a water based PU matte coating.
Acoustically this is a strong performer: Iconic is acoustic test rated at 43 L’nT,w and carries an AAAC 5 Star rating, which makes strata and building-manager approval considerably easier in apartments and townhouses. It rates P3 for slip resistance under AS 4586:2013 Appendix A, is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality (below E1 emissions), and its fire test results are CHF 9.6 kW/m² with a smoke value of 304% minimum.
Iconic is covered by a 25 year limited (lifetime) structural warranty, a 20 year limited lifetime residential wear warranty and a 5 year limited lifetime commercial structural warranty. It is suitable for installation over “In-Slab” hydronic heating only. A hybrid floor should never be used in place of a moisture membrane. Sweep regularly and clean with a well wrung damp mop; do not use steam or electric mops. Colour-matched trims, coloured scotia and stair nosing are available.
