Preference Oakleaf Collection is an authentic look laminate flooring presented with stunning European Oak and Australian timber visuals. The décor layers offer colours of washed out and cool muted tones with traditional timber characteristics. Displaying the same warmth and character normally associated with more expensive natural timber flooring, our Oakleaf range is ideally suited to almost any interior fit-out.

Oakleaf is built on an FSC certified high density fibreboard core with a super durable surface that is sturdy enough to deal with the everyday wear and tear of modern residential life. It comes in two thicknesses and they are not the same floor. The 12mm board is 2200mm long by 193mm wide and rated AC4 — the heavier surface, and the one to choose for hallways, living areas and anywhere that takes real traffic, at 1.698 m² per carton. The 8mm board is 1215mm long by 195mm wide and rated AC3, which suits bedrooms, studies and lighter-use rooms, at 1.8954 m² per carton. Eleven of the fifteen colours are made in both thicknesses; four are 12mm only. Both use an easy-to-install licensed Clic system for floating installation, and the range is fire and slip test certified.

One thing to be clear about: Oakleaf is a standard laminate and there is no published water-resistance rating for it. There is no tested hour figure because this range is not built for one — the core is HDF and it will swell if water is left on it. Wipe spills as they happen, clean with a well-wrung damp mop, and keep it out of bathrooms and laundries. If you want a laminate with a measured water-resistance window, look at our Aquastop, Oakleaf HD PLUS or Aspect ranges instead, which are rated for 48 and 72 hours. Oakleaf is suitable for installation over “In-Slab” hydronic heating only.
