Lifestyle 12mm is the heavyweight of our hybrid range. Where most hybrid floors sit at 7.5 to 8mm, this one is a full 12mm board built on a composite polymer and stone fibre core (EPC), and it carries a commercial grade 0.7mm vinyl wear layer — the thickest surface of any hybrid we stock. If you want a hybrid floor that will take years of heavy household traffic without looking tired, this is the one to look at.

Planks are 1800mm long and come in two widths, 178mm and 225mm, with an angle click profile and micro-bevelled edges on all four sides for a floating installation. A 2mm IXPE acoustic sound pad is bonded to the underside, noticeably thicker than the pads on our thinner hybrids, which is what gives this floor its quiet, cushioned feel underfoot. Contemporary colours carry EIR embossing that follows the grain of the décor; Blackbutt and Spotted Gum are supplied with a smooth, unembossed surface. The surface is finished with a matte PU coating and the range is rated E1 for VOC emissions.

It is rated P3 under the AS/NZS 4586:2013 wet pendulum test and R10 on the oil-wet inclining test, so it holds up in kitchens and entries. It suits residential homes and multi-residential apartments, and is suitable for installation over “In-Slab” hydronic heating only.

Two installation points are worth reading before you buy. Lifestyle 12mm must be laid over a 200µm builders’ film on every substrate type — this is a warranty condition, not a suggestion — and expansion gaps must be left open rather than filled with caulking or silicone. Sweep regularly and clean with a well wrung damp mop; never use a steam or electric mop. Colour-matched trims, scotia and stair nosing are available.
