Supermarket aisles, offices, a clinic, a hospitality venue and a smash-repair workshop. Each is a job we supplied and installed in Sydney, photographed from the same spot before we started and after we finished.

01 · Retail
Trolleys, pallets and a mop every night. Vinyl tile runs down every aisle and around the checkout, so the floor looks the same from the front door to the freezers and stands up to daily cleaning.

The old slab was ground back, patched and levelled before anything went down. The sheet vinyl was then coved up the wall, so there’s no floor-to-wall joint for dirt to sit in. That matters in a room that’s cleaned between every patient.
03 · Hospitality
A bold pattern through the dining room, the lounge and the entry. Pattern hides spills and traffic lanes in a room that barely closes, and carpet takes the edge off the noise of a full dining room.

Worn floor out, modular carpet tile in, across reception, the open-plan floor and the corridors. If a tile gets stained, that one tile can be lifted and replaced, not the whole room.
05 · Office
Open-plan areas, private offices, reception and the staircase that connects them. A darker tile took over from the stained blue broadloom on both levels.

A dark, practical tile that hides what comes in on work boots. It runs from the waiting area up the stairwell to the office, with an aluminium nosing on every tread.
07 · Retail
The grey floor came out and timber-look vinyl plank went in, through the full length of the store.
