NOBBY is made entirely from undyed wool. Nothing in the colour comes out of a dye bath — every shade is blended from fleece in its natural state, which is why the ten colours read as soft, slightly variegated naturals rather than flat solids, and why no two square metres look exactly alike.
It is a substantial carpet: 60oz (2040gsm) of three ply yarn in a chunky 10mm loop on a wide 1/2 inch gauge. That combination is soft and resilient at the same time — there is real give underfoot, and the heavy loop springs back rather than matting down. Skipping the dyeing stage also cuts the water and energy that go into making it.
Wool does the rest: warmth in winter, sound absorbed rather than echoed, airborne dust trapped in the pile instead of circulating, and natural flame and stain resistance without a chemical coating. NOBBY tests at greater than 7 kW/m² critical radiant flux under ISO 9239.1.

NOBBY is a wool loop pile carpet for living areas and bedrooms, and it is the one to look at if you want a carpet that feels soft without giving up durability. The 10mm loop is set on a wide 1/2 inch gauge, so it reads as a chunky, textured surface rather than a fine one.
The yarn is 100% undyed wool. Colour comes from blending fleece in its natural state, which gives each shade a gentle tonal variation and means the carpet is made with markedly less water and energy than a dyed equivalent.
Wool is warm underfoot in winter and cool in summer, it dampens sound within a room, and it recovers from furniture indentation better than most synthetic fibres. It is a natural, renewable and biodegradable fibre.
