Hydroplank is a wood plastic composite (WPC) hybrid floor in a generous 1.83 metre plank. The core blends sustainable materials with recycled plastic composites, giving you a board that is dimensionally stable, comfortable underfoot and noticeably quieter than a rigid hybrid. Planks lock together with a Välinge patented 5G click and float over most sound, level subfloors — including straight over existing ceramic tiles, where the WPC core keeps telegraphing of grout lines to a minimum.

The range comes in two widths. Australian timber décors — Blackbutt, Northern Blackbutt and Spotted Gum — are a 178mm plank at 1.9202 m² per carton. The contemporary oak-led palette is a 228mm super-width plank at 2.5 m² per carton. Both carry a 0.5mm décor layer finished with a water-based PU matte coating for everyday scuff resistance, with realistic embossed timber texture on the oak décors and micro-bevelled edges on all four sides.

Acoustically this is one of the strongest floors we stock. The attached acoustic foam underlay dampens both in-room noise and sound transmission between floors, and the range exceeds the National Construction Code acoustic sound-level requirements for multi-residential apartments at a 5 Star rating — which makes strata and building-manager approval considerably easier. It is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality with emissions below E1, has been Australian tested and confirmed free of respirable crystalline silica, and rates P4 for slip resistance, the highest of any range in our hybrid category.

Hydroplank is interior waterproof and built for homes, apartments and commercial shop fit-outs. It handles everyday spills and damp mopping without complaint. It is not a substitute for a moisture membrane, so if you are considering it for a bathroom, laundry or powder room, confirm the requirements with your local building authority first. The range is suitable for installation over “In-Slab” hydronic heating only. Sweep regularly and clean with a well wrung damp mop; never use a steam or electric mop. Colour-matched accessories and stair nosing are available.

Hydroplank carries a 25 year limited (lifetime) residential structural warranty, a 20 year limited residential wear warranty and a 5 year limited commercial structural warranty.
