Torino is a dense, level loop pile in 100% wool — 1360 gr/m² (41oz/yd²) of pile at an 8.5mm height, and 2555 gr/m² all up. That is a substantial carpet by any measure, and it is the density rather than the depth that does the work: a tightly packed loop resists crushing underfoot and recovers from furniture indentation instead of holding the mark.

The loop sits at one level on a 5/32 gauge, so the surface reads as a single even texture rather than a pattern. It is a quiet floor to put in a room — nothing in the design competes with the furniture, and there is real cushion under the foot at 10.5mm total height.

It carries a residential extra heavy duty rating, which is what you want in a main living area, a hallway or anywhere the whole household walks. Wool is why it is comfortable as well as hard wearing: warm underfoot in winter and cool in summer, sound absorbed rather than echoed, airborne dust held in the pile rather than circulating, and naturally flame resistant with no chemical treatment.
