Kronos Aquastop is a laminate flooring collection produced by the Swiss Krono Group, and it is the hardest-wearing surface we stock in laminate: every thickness is rated AC5 / Class 33, the top commercial grade, which covers stores and corridors as well as any room in a house. If you have dogs, children, or a hallway that takes a beating, this is the range to look at.
Aquastop is a moisture-protected laminate, and the numbers are specific. The 8mm and 12mm boards are rated to resist topical liquid spills, water and pet accidents for up to 48 hours; the 14mm boards are rated for up to 72 hours. That is the manufacturer’s tested protection window — enough time to find a slow leak or clean up after a burst appliance before the board is damaged. It is not a waterproof floor, and no laminate is: the core is high density fibreboard, so standing water left indefinitely will still ruin it. Underneath the décor is an HDF core classified as a laminate floor covering to EN 13329 and EN 14041, at E1 emission level (DoP KCH_LFa_002) — vapour emissions comparable to timber in its natural state. The surface is colourfast, anti-static and resistant to abrasion, scratching and impact, with realistic embossing and roughly one visual repeat in ten so a laid floor does not look printed. Planks use a patented Valinge 5G click for floating installation and carry a V4 micro bevel. Timber is sourced from FSC certified forests. The range is Australian slip and fire test certified, and it is suitable for installation over “In-Slab” hydronic heating only.
Aquastop comes in three thicknesses: 8mm (1380 x 193mm, 2.131 m² per carton), 12mm (1380 x 193mm at 1.332 m² per carton, with Blackbutt and Spotted Gum in a longer 1845 x 193mm plank at 1.424 m²) and 14mm (2025 x 244mm at 1.482 m² per carton — the widest and longest board in the range). All three are suitable for wet mopping. Every thickness carries a 35 year limited structural warranty and a 5 year limited commercial warranty, subject to correct installation, use and maintenance. Suitable for living areas, bedrooms, hallways, home offices and other dry interior spaces where durable, easy-care flooring is required.
Install as a floating floor over a compliant acoustic underlay and moisture barrier. Wipe spills promptly, clean with a vacuum or soft broom and use a lightly damp mop. Do not flood the floor or use steam cleaning.

Install as a floating floor with a suitable acoustic underlay and moisture barrier. Clean spills promptly and maintain with regular vacuuming or sweeping and a lightly damp mop. The floor is water-resistant, not waterproof, and is not designed for flooding or persistent leaks.

Suitable for large residential interiors and heavy-use commercial applications where a wider, longer plank and durable finish are preferred. Suitable for installation over “In-Slab” hydronic heating only.
